The EIS provide support to British Cycling across a number of disciplines including road, track, mountain and BMX athletes with the majority of practitioners based at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.

One of the key areas of support to British Cycling is that provided by the EIS Research & Innovation team, working on technology and engineering projects including bike design and aerodynamics testing.

As a physically demanding yet also highly technical sport, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, performance nutrition and physiology form core services to the programme, whilst British Cycling fully embraces the benefits that Performance Analysis and Biomechanics has to offer with EIS analysts working closely with the coaching staff across all disciplines within the sport.

Athlete also benefit from Performance Lifestyle support, with advisors working closely with the athletes, coaches and support staff as part of an integrated team to minimise potential concerns, conflicts and distractions, all of which can be detrimental to performance.
